Urban
Look at the Urban Biodiversity Project webpages. Surrey's proximity to London and population density places great pressure on its green spaces, especially that within and adjoining urban areas. The vast majority of Surrey's population lives in the north of the county, which is very urbanised. This means that green spaces within urban areas are very important for local communities. The Urban Biodiversity Action Plan (UBAP) for Surrey aims to safeguard and enhance the biodiversity found where people live and in doing so improve the quality of peoples' lives through contact with, appreciation of, and involvement in nature conservation. If you would like a copy of the UBAP then please contact the Surrey County Council Contact Centre on 08456 009 009. Please note that the UBAP is currently under review.
