Surrey Greenspace Project is a 5 year project based at Surrey Wildlife Trust and sponsored by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund. The aim of the project is to help communities in Surrey to access their local greenspaces.Green Links
Our Community Outreach Officers are working with local communities in Guildford, Woking and Merstham helping them to make the most of their greenspaces. Come along and join our:- Practical conservation tasks to improve your local greenspace.
- Free training in environmental skills.
- Healthy walks and self guided walk trails.
- Community events and activities.
- Work placements.
- Environmental play sessions for children and families.

Green Shoots
Our Outreach Education Officer is working with 16 target schools in Guildford, Woking and Merstham. We want to help children to learn outside the classroom:- Curriculum lead activities in school grounds and local greenspaces.
- Advice and support in developing school grounds for wildlife.
- Help with school environment clubs.
- Free environmental education loan boxes.
- Downloadable education packs.
Green Champions
Our environmental Group Support Officer is providing help and support for groups across Surrey. Would you like to improve your local greenspace but don't know how?- Come along to our talks on Surrey's greenspaces and natural heritage.
- Learn new skills through our workshops and training courses.
- Find out about the groups near you.
- No local group? We can help you start one!
- Get free advice on management and funding for your local greenspace.
- Keep in touch with other local groups and share ideas and experiences on our website.
- Find out about new ideas and initiatives through our quarterly newsletter.
